Phillippi & Such

First, a picture of our bus (this is for E & A). Our driver's name is Aristotle and our tour guide, Christiana.
This rest area had an amazing assortment of fresh baked goods.
This is the city where Lydia was baptized and so there was a church built here as a monument and used for infant baptism (or adult if converting to Greek Orthodox). It is done by full immersion (even the babies), three times for the trinity.

The theater at Phillipi.

The ruins of Philippi. The largest columns in the distance are from a church built in 600 A.D. But the domed roof kept collapsing.
This is where we had a fresh fish lunch in the port city of Kavala. The fish were caught this morning.
